A Bit About Simo
When I started, I was one of the worst managers in the company. No matter how much I tried, I couldn't get "it" right.
Being hired at Google and promoted to manager from within did not qualify me for a management or leadership position.
I struggled because I didn't know what to do.
I did not know what to do, why, and how.
Until I met my mentor, John, who changed the direction of my leadership career. He gave me the foundations, basic rules, right thinking, and coaching to grow as a global leader in a Big Tech company.
A few years later, I was constantly in the top 1% of high-performing managers at Google and was promoted to Global Director.
I've been in the corporate world for more than two decades, I made tons of mistakes and I have been successful by:
→ Hiring, Coaching, and leading hundreds of people from all backgrounds and nationalities in more than 27 countries, during my 15 years at Google
→ Serving as Global Director at Google (Alphabet) between Europe and Silicon Valley
→ Being part of the global leadership team scaling Google Cloud from 0 to a multi-billion sales organization
→ Building and scaling multiple global teams from scratch to multi-million revenue-generating units
→ Leading global initiatives directly for Google's C-Suite leadership, achieving multi-million dollar operational savings and efficiencies
→ Implementing Google's global sustainability strategy for their food division, to cut Google's food waste in half and send zero food waste to landfill, as publicly pledged by Google's CEO
Today, my mission is to teach and coach leaders to be successful in building and leading high-performing global teams.
